Refrigerants
RCN Chemie, in cooperation with Solvay Fluor GmbH, Frankfurt, offers a complete taking back system for fluorinated chlorinated hydrocarbons/refrigerants.
To guarantee simple, safe and environmentally friendly handling of the refrigerants, we let or rent special steel containers (LGB, net weight 675 kg). The filled containers are, in compliance with ADR, transported to the RCN site in Goch, where they are analysed.
The subsequent treatment consists of two steps:
I. Treatment at RCN Chemie GmbH, Goch
In a special processing unit (high pressure column) the contents of oil, acids and water are adjusted to the requirements of the cracking unit of Solvay Flour GmbH.
II. Cracking unit of Solvay Fluor GmbH, Frankfurt
At a temperature of above 2000 °C the chlorinated, fluorinated hydrocarbons are completely destroyed. This process renders high quality fluoric acid and hydrochloric acid. This process guarantees the safe and environmentally friendly destruction of the refrigerants. The escape of compounds destructive to the ozone layer (FCHC), that might for example occur in standard incineration plants, is completely excluded in our process.
